Transcript for "Transforming legal workflows: How Mobile Helix leveraged Nutrient SDKs for enhanced security and efficiency": Hey, everyone. Thanks for joining us today for our client demonstration webinar, where we're gonna see firsthand how Mobile Helix has leveraged Nutrien's mobile SDKs in their link app to help provide their users with enhanced security and efficiency. I'm Greg Ives, and I'm with the product marketing team here at Nutrien. Joining me today is the president and CEO of Mobile Helix, the wonderful Maureen Blando. Maureen, it is an absolute pleasure to have you present today. Thank you, Greg. It's wonderful to be here today. And I will be back in a little while when we look at some questions from listeners. Sounds great. Alright. So before we jump to our presentation, we do need to cover a few housekeeping items. We know everyone has tons to do. Okay. So we're gonna keep today's events to right around twenty minutes or so. If you have any questions during the webinar, just find the q and a functionality. It should be off to the right side of your screen. You'll also see that we prerecorded the actual demo portion of the webinar. And that's so that Maureen is available to answer any questions you may have along the way. And finally, the question we always get, yep. Today's webinar is being recorded and will be available on demand on our website in the next day or so. Alright. That brings us to the agenda. First, many of you might be, attending, you know, for the first time since a major announcement happened, last fall, and that is around our rebrand. So to start things off, I'm just gonna give a quick sixty second overview of the new company and why we chose to rebrand. Then we'll kinda jump to why you're actually here today, and that's learn more about Mobile Helix and how they leverage our SDKs within their very popular link app. And then then at the end, we've, we've also saved a little bit of time for a few questions. Alright. So to kick things off, you're likely aware that we made a a pretty big announcement recently with a complete company rebrand. So whether you knew us before as PSPDF kit or Mahemby, Orpolis, Aquaforest, or even Integrify, we are now Nutrien. Same company with all the same technology, just now rebranded under a single banner with a single mission. That is to evolve how humans experience and interact with documents. With the rebrand, we now have an unrivaled suite of document solutions all under one roof, whether it's our industry leading SDKs, which you will see firsthand today, or our m three sixty five low code solutions, or even our workflow automation platform. We take pride in simplifying the complexity you face. And we do this with speed, savings, and security to become your solution for today's docket digital document challenges. Alright. So but, you know, what's really more important though is to be your partner for tomorrow's document innovations. We are Nutrient, and we're thrilled to be building the future of document innovation alongside of you. Alright. Which perfect segue, which, you know, into today's demo. You know, as a product marketer, my favorite part of the day is talking to our customers. Right? Talking to them about all the ways they they use our technology to help their end users. And that's why I'm excited for you to see firsthand how link by MobileHelix makes it super easy for lawyers to work across mobile devices using a single encrypted app. Link allows you to combine powerful document, management capabilities and Microsoft Outlook all within a single app. That means you can annotate, edit, compare, and even email documents while you're away from your desk no matter the device type. Alright. But enough talking. I'm gonna hand it over to Maureen so we can see what this looks like in action. Alright. Maureen Hello. My name is Maureen Blando. I'm with MobileHelix, and we are the makers of the Link app. Today, I'm happy to show you the integration that we offer in our Link app using the Nutrient SDKs. As you can see, I'm showing this on an iPad, but we also offer the same workflows using the Nutrient Android SDK. One of the first things for you to know is that link is a highly secure app. It's encrypted, and when I tap on the link tile here, the first thing you will see is that it authenticates me with face ID. Showing you that is important for you to understand the context of what we are doing in link. Our app is used by lawyers and other knowledge professionals who are dealing with highly confidential and sensitive documents. Professionals in legal and professional services fields tend to use a proprietary document management system. They store their documents in a document management system that is not only secure, but it has strong controls in place for things like versioning, which are, of course, very important if you're working on a legal agreement. So LINQ is integrated with iManage, NetDocuments, OneDrive, Windows file shares, and link is also integrated with Outlook. Those document repositories and Outlook are in one app. This not only makes for secure workflows, but it also makes for easier workflows. Let me jump in and show you what we're doing with annotation with the Nutrient SDK. First, I'm going to tap on that imanage tile. Imanage is a leading provider of document management systems. This is a list of all of the files that I have in this folder, and I'm going to tap on the first one, US versus Monaco. This document happens to be a PDF, but you can also annotate Word files. You can see that I've already annotated this document somewhat. On this clean page, I'll show you some of the document review features in the Nutrient SDK. Along the upper right, you see the jump to a page icon, the index, and this is very interesting. You see this first tab shows me all of my bookmarks, and I can name them if I like. And the second tab shows me all of my annotations. There's a search feature, so if I have a lot of annotations, this is incredibly helpful to not have to look through the document, just to look through the index. The next icon is a bookmark, and then search the document, And the last one is a matrix of the document. I'll tap that. This view shows the entire document. I can add, delete, copy, or move pages from this view. I can tap on the annotated tab and show only the annotated pages, or I can tap on the bookmarked tab and show only the bookmarked pages. I'll go back to the document view by tapping that matrix. Now I'll tap the pencil icon, and this gives me my annotation menu. The Nutrient SDK has dozens of features. I'm just going to show you a few of the most popular ones. One is a line highlighter. That is the t with the black background. I tap on it, and then I can highlight the title. If I want to change the color or the opacity, I just tap that color dot. The t with the vertical bar is to add text. I tap on it, and I can choose text, note, or call out. I'll tap text, tap the document, and type in text. You can also choose to strike through squiggly underline or underline. I'll choose the squiggly underline and underline that sentence. If I tap on the pinpoint, the first figure, I can write with my Apple Pencil or with a finger. There's also a highlighter, and there are many more features. Just to give you a sense of it, I'll tap on the shapes tab and the text markup tab. And then finally, on insert, the first feature is a signature feature. If I tap on it, you'll see my signature. I just tap on the signature and place it where I want it in the document. Then I'll tap on the next feature, which is the stamp, select the date, and move the date where I want it in the document. The SDK even includes redaction. That's the feature that looks like an Xacto knife. With that, I can redact text. The content is not just visually obscured. It is permanently deleted. One of the things that the Nutrient SDK helps us to do is to make an easier workflow and a more secure workflow because everything occurs in a single app. In what we've seen so far, the lawyer or other professional goes to their DMS system in link, they tap on a file, they tap on the pencil, and they annotate the file all in one app. They don't have to go to a DMS app, move a file from that app to an annotation app, and then move it back to the DMS app. It's much more secure and easier for the professional if the document does not have to move in between apps. Now having annotated this file, I tap in the white space, and I have options to complete my workflow at the bottom. I can print, send, upload to DMS, or save to my files. I can also do this. I tap the x by The US versus Monaco name, and I get a short and simple menu. Here are the options. Check-in the annotated PDF, send the annotated file as an email attachment, save these changes to my files, which is the encrypted storage in the link app, or discard these annotations. I want to show you checking in the annotated PDF because this is a very nice workflow. Tap it. Here's my check-in screen. It gives me the file name. I could rename the file in the new name field if I wanted to. And here is something that's very important in professional services. I can check it in as a new doc ID. I can check it in as a new version of the existing doc ID, or I can replace or overwrite it. I want to check it in as a new version of the existing doc ID, and I'll make a comment just adding my initials. Now to check this into the document management system, I tap the up arrow. The green check mark tells me that my document has been checked in. Let's take a look at it. I tap on it to open it. I want to find the page that I annotated, so I'll tap the index. I had bookmarked it, so I'll look at my bookmarks and then tap on the bookmarked page. And there are the annotations that I just made. If I want to email it, it's simple. I just tap the envelope icon in the lower right. I could email this page only, all the bookmarked pages, all the annotated pages, or the full document. I'll choose full document. Link prepares an email screen for me with the document attached, and all I have to do is tap the paper airplane to send it. I started in the document management system. I opened a file. I annotated it. I checked the document with the annotations back into the document management system, and now I'm emailing it to my client. And now something completely different. Very briefly, I'm going to show you the link notes app, which has quite a different implementation of the Nutrient SDK. I tap on the link notes tile using the same SDK that you just saw. I can now create a note. I can either edit, which means to write, for example. I can type. Here's an interesting thing that I can do. I can write and it will be converted to text. I can also use the iOS microphone to dictate a note. And lastly, I can tap on the draw tab, select a pinpoint or marker, and handwrite or draw. There's a lot more to this notes app, but I just want you to see that you can implement the Nutrient SDK in a way that works for your applications. This has been a brief introduction of what you can do with the Nutrient iOS and Android SDKs in your applications. Maureen, what an amazing demo. Thank you so much. You can absolutely see why link is so popular. And then, I especially love the way you've embedded so much functionality into the app. Speaking of which, if you'd like to learn more about any of these features that Maureen touched on or any of our other SDK components, we'd love to hear from you. Companies like MobileHelix choose our document SDKs because we've always put developers first. It's been our driving force since day one. Whether it's our AI driven solutions or our fully secure rendering platform or even just our unmatched support and documentation. Our SDKs our SDKs are pushing the industry forward. Alright. That brings us to to the end of today's presentation. But as promised, we're gonna try to answer a few questions. We we also invite you to visit nutrient.i0 to learn about all of the the solutions that we provide. You'll find a a ton of helpful resources like our blog, product pages, guides, and demos. Alright. That said, let's see. Well, Maureen, I see you're back. I've got actually, the first question is for you. How long did it take to get to a beta stage? Hi, Greg. Yeah. So this was about seven years ago, the first, because we've been a customer for seven years. It took about one week, and that's not one week of Solid working on just this project. One week of developers working on a number of things to get to this point. I think the important thing is that the SDK is clean and the SDK is well documented and I actually don't think we had a single question in that initial development stage as like support question. Well, you know, I love hearing that. That's great. Alright. It looks like the next question let's see is well, actually, this one's for us. Am I able to test these toolkits somewhere? Yes. Absolutely. We do provide, free trials and demos. You can actually go to nutrient.io, Pretty much any page you're gonna see in the upper right hand corner, an area where you can try it for free or request a demo. So, absolutely come check it out after the webinar. We'd, you know, we'd love to either talk to you or let you try it for yourself. Let's see. Alright. Maureen, I've got another one for you. It is any recommendations or best practices that you can pass along? Yeah. I think, actually, Greg, it's interesting. If you look at the demo, you can see there are two completely different workflows. And so my advice and best practices best practice is to really understand your customer's way of working, I e understand their workflows. You can see, for example, with annotating a document by knowledge professionals and lawyers, they're very precise, exacting people. They need a lot of options. They don't all work the same. They don't all use the same features, so you want to give them a variety of, options, but with a pretty simple UI. On the other hand, we can think of our own use of a notes app. You don't need all those options. You wanna go directly to taking the note, so you want that interface to have fewer options. So get to know your customer, understand how they work, and you may, of course, end up adjusting some things as they use it and you find out more about how they work. I think that's great advice. I think that, absolutely applies, universally as well. So I think that's a that's a great tidbit there. Alright. What features would you like to add to your app in the future? At the if we don't provide it now, I'm taking notes. Alright. What Maureen, what, what would you like to see, added to your app in the future? Well, I think like every software company on the planet, we are looking at the best ways to incorporate AI into link for things like that anyone can imagine here, a document analysis, a document outline, that kind of thing. That will that you just teed me up perfectly. We, we will actually, be providing, a lot of this AI system functionality that you can currently find in our web SDK in the mobile, SDKs in the very near future. In fact, I would invite anyone on the call to attend our bundle release webinar coming up in March where we will, be sharing a lot of this exciting news in more detail. So, two names, Maureen. We should be able to, to address some of these, these features that you're looking for then. Alright. I've got another question. It says, where are the documents stored? Cloud, on premises, both, you know, that is going to depend yes. And that's going to depend on, which deployment options that you go with and what your, which which setup that you have. So we would invite you, you know, hey. Let let you know, reach out to us afterwards. We'd love to hear about your your situation, and, you know, we can find, the the right, deployment options for your specific setup. So, yes. Yeah. I think you will find, any and all, options there available for you. Let's see. Obviously, we we always get asked about costs. You know, that's like asking, like, how much does it take to build a house? I mean, depending on what you're looking for, which components you wanna see, your deployments, you know, a preference. It it's really gonna depend on what you're trying to do. So we would love for you to reach out to us afterwards, and, and we can we can absolutely walk you through exactly, you know, the the right option for you and and what that looks like. Alright. Not bad. We've what was that? Six or seven questions that we just plow through right there. So, Maureen, I think I'm gonna go ahead and and and wrap things up. That is all the time we have for today. But, you know, look, if you didn't get your question, in on time, no worries. You know, we will you can go ahead and submit it now. We'll follow-up directly after the webinar. And if you think of one even later on, you know, please reach out. We're happy to answer them. And Marie, thank you so much for your demo. That was amazing. I I know you've given our viewers a lot of ideas to explore. And if you'd like to learn more about Mobile Helix or request a demo of the link app, we invite you to visit mobilehelix.com. There's plenty of examples on there and and and tons of information. And and again, you can try it for yourself and and and see the demo. So alright. On behalf of the entire Nutrien team, thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you have an amazing rest of your day.
